What does 5 Star Service include?

    • All Proton Suprima S vehicles purchased from 21st November 2014, will receive 5 Years Capped Price Scheduled Servicing or 75,000km (whichever comes first). PROTON 5 Star Service, more proof that at PROTON we’re always committed to be better.
    • Proton Suprima S vehicles purchased prior to and including 20th November 2014, came with 5 Year Free Scheduled Servicing or 75,000km (whichever comes first).
  • 5 YEARS WARRANTY
    • We have confidence in our products, that’s why we are also offering a 5 years or 150,000km (whichever comes first) factory backed comprehensive warranty. PROTON 5 Star Service, more proof that at PROTON we’re always committed to be better.
  • 5 YEARS ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE

  • 5 star service is standard in the DRIVE AWAY price of an Suprima-S purchased from an Authorised PROTON dealer on or after 01st January 2013, providing you with 5 years complete peace of mind.

PROTON 5 Star Service provides customers with 5 years complete peace of mind.

  • That’s right all Suprima S vehicles purchased from 21st November 2014, come standard with 5 Years Capped Price Schedule Servicing or 75,000km (whichever comes first).
  • All Suprima S vehicles purchased prior to and including 20th November 2014, came standard with 5 Year Free Scheduled Servicing or 75,000km (whichever comes first).
  • Recommended service intervals are every 12 months or 15,000km (with a first service due at 1 month or 1,000km) – whichever comes first. 
  • You will be responsible to present your vehicle to an Authorised PROTON dealer to perform the scheduled services. 
  • PROTON 5 Years Capped Price/ Free Scheduled Servicing can be carried out at any PROTON Authorised Dealership to be eligible 
  • Any service carried out by a Non-authorised PROTON Dealership or Non-authorised PROTON Service Centre will not be covered by the 5 Year Capped Price/ Free Scheduled Servicing.
  • The 5 years Scheduled Servicing includes labour, lubricants and parts (genuine parts only) as outlined in the vehicles Service Booklet. 
  • You will need to ensure that the periodical maintenance log sheets in your Service Booklet are properly stamped and signed by a PROTON Authorised Dealer for the purposes of Warranty.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the vehicle properly as outlined in the vehicles Service Booklet, 
  • The Scheduled Services shown in the list below are the service covered by the 5 Year Capped Price/  Free servicing (includes a total of six scheduled services) for 5 years or 75,000km. 
    • 1 month or 1,000km
    • 12 months or 15,000km
    • 24 months or 30,000km
    • 36 months or 45,000km
    • 48 months or 60,000km
    • 60 months or 75,000km
  • Scheduled services included commence from the first date of registration (also known as the warranty start date).
  • Services are to be carried out within 21 days of the scheduled date or not more than 750 km of the scheduled distance or additional costs may apply. 
  • Damage relating to improper service or to the lack of servicing cannot be accepted under Warranty.
  • The replacement of wear & tear items such as drive belts, wiper blades, brake pads, light bulbs, fuses, refrigerant gas, tyres and fluids between services are not covered under the 5 Year Capped Price/ Free Scheduled Servicing.
  • Should your vehicle be used frequently under severe operating conditions, certain parts of the vehicle will require more frequent maintenance, which will not be covered under the 5 Year Capped Price/ Free Scheduled Servicing. An Authorised PROTON dealer will be able to advise you of these requirements.
  • Severe operating conditions include, but are not limited to the following cases :
    1. Driving on dusty roads or when exposed to salty air
    2. Driving on rough roads, on submerged roads, or hilly areas
    3. Engine idling for long periods of time or short distance travelled during cold weather
    4. Frequent, sudden application of brakes
    5. Operation under excessive load
    6. Frequent use of the vehicle in extremely hot or cold weather conditions
    7. Towing a Trailer or Caravan

  • The vehicle will include 5 years or 150,000km (whichever comes first) factory backed comprehensive warranty.
  • PROTON warrants that the vehicle is covered against defects in material or workmanship under normal use for a period of 5 years / 150,000km from the warranty start date, subject to the warranty conditions in the vehicles service booklet.
  • All warranty repairs must be carried out at a PROTON Authorised Dealership.
  • The 5 years factory backed warranty is subject to complying with the periodical service maintenance as specified in the vehicles Service Booklet. 
  • If you sell or transfer the ownership of your vehicle, the remaining period of warranty is transferable to the subsequent owner by completing the form as outlined in the vehicles service booklet.
  • In addition to the 5 years factory backed warranty, the vehicle is also covered by a 7 year perforation warranty.

  • PROTON roadside assistance covers items such as those listed below as per the terms & conditions of the program.
    • Mechanical failures –An emergency patrol will be sent out so repairs will be attempted on the spot.
    • Driver Mishaps – If you lock your keys in the car, run out of fuel or get a flat tyre.
    • Towing – If we can’t get you mobile again, you car will be towed to the nearest PROTON dealer. 
    • Personal Help – We will also assist with a taxi, accommodation, rental car. 
    • Membership protection – For an annual fee, you can keep your current motoring organisation benefits.
